An exquisite and early pair of polychrome and silver gilded Italian candlesticks. c.1800. With lions paw feet, acanthus leaf scrollwork and original pricket tops. They have unusual and striking colouring in ‘sangue di bue’ ox blood red bole, surmounted with silver leaf and ebony black.
