Created in the third quarter 20th Century from terracotta polychromed stone composite.
The Well Head has distinctive Lion mask details grasping rope swags in their mouths to support heraldic shields, the kind of decoration that adorned pieces made originally for Italian Noble palazzi particularly around the time of the Renaissance in Italy. The well stands upon a separate composite stone base which makes it into a real statement piece.
